With spare belongings you don’t need anymore, experience becoming compassionate. Donate them now to MALASACKIT PLACE – our innovative way of combating the culture of wastage. Let go of your excess belongings and be our partner in assisting the less privileged ones.
MALASACKIT PLACE is a resource mobilization strategy that utilizes 100% donated goods. LASAC accepts items you don’t need —used or unused— but still have value. Donated goods will be converted into cash by selling them at a cheaper and reasonable price. Proceeds will fund our programs and services for the poor.
MALASAKIT, is a Filipino term that does not have an exact translation in English. It is a cultural value that uniquely defines how a Filipino values other. It is compassion, accountability, ownership and putting ones interest behind others, all rolled into one.As we celebrate the Year of the Poor, LASAC had come up with a project, which creates a community of generous people, rich and poor, helping LASAC for the sustainability of its Programs and services.
This project, MaLASACkit Place, is a fund-raising strategy that collects items we don’t need—used or unused—which have value and can be sold. This project does not need to have an initial budget for the goods to be sold because we will use 100% donated goods. Products will be sold at a cheaper and reasonable price, and the proceeds from the sale of donated items will fund LASAC’s programs and services for the poor. It will be launched on July 25, 2015 by LASAC Inc. The store is located at the LAFORCE Building, St. Francis Major Seminary Compound, Marawoy, Lipa City.
